Mission Statement:

The mission of Q-School is to assist Reagan Elementary students in being academically successful at an early age thereby creating a pattern of success for life.

Brief History:

 Q-School was formed March 4, 2013. The IRS classified Q-School as a 501(c)3 on August, 2014. Planning and preparation, as well as grant writing were accomplished by September 2015. We began providing homework help to Reagan Elementary students on October 13, 2015.  For the summer of 2016, we provided a computerized summer reading program in cooperation with the local library. We provided homework help to approximately 38 academically struggling students at Reagan Elementary for the 2016 -17 school year. We continued to prevent reading regression through the 2017 Summer Reading Program at the Thompson- Sawyer Public Library.


Goals:

Our goal is to have eighty percent of the Q-School students pass all core subjects for the 2017-18 school year.


 
Audience Served:

For the 2017 -18 school year, we will be providing homework help to approximately forty academically struggling students in 1st – 5th grades at Reagan Elementary in Quanah, TX.  Eighty-nine percent of the students attending Q-School receive free and reduced lunches.

 
Organizational Structure:

Q-School employs high school and college students to provide homework help to the elementary students who are behind academically.    Q-School assists students from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.  The director is Judy Campsey. 

 
Key Achievements:

Ninety-five percent of the Q-School students passed all core subjects for the 2016-17 school year.
